But prepare like everything depends on you. That’s a quote from Week 2 in the NFL, and it rings particularly true right now. Just found out that no matter what grand plans you have for the future, be it 2 years, 5 years, 10 years into the future, life has a knack for kicking you in the gentleman vegetables when you least expect it. This happened to one of my parents almost three decades ago, a very good friend (not so much anymore) 19 months ago, another friend 12 months ago. And now it’s happened to me. ECP’s are a fucking joke.
